Chelly is a Washingtonian who is one of the nation’s capital local artists. Her discovery of her gift and talents for art was realized by her art teacher Mr. Ward who taught art in Georgetown. As a minor, Chelly was invited to provide art for church members in her community.
The artist takes a holistic approach to art as a tool to assist in mental health. She has is quoted in saying, “My Art Just Makes Me Smile and is Calming”. The artist’s intention is to have the same outcome for humanity.
